Hot off the heels of the Nigerian variant of coronavirus, scientists have detected yet another mutated strain in Finland. It is currently unknown how prevalent the strain is – only one case has been detected so far. Finnish authorities have been quick to respond to the discovery, suggesting the virus — temporarily named Fin-796H – was unlikely to have originated there considering the country’s low infection rate.
