The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Sunday that they are expecting their second child in 2021. During the Royally Obsessed podcast, royal commentators Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie discussed the Royal Family first that Meghan Markle will achieve if she gives birth in the US.

Ms Bowie said: “They did not want a title for Archie, who is just Master Archie.

“It is probably going to be the same for this child.

“This is going to be the first-ever royal baby born in the US if they stay here.

“They could go back and have the baby there [the UK].”

Ms Fiorito added: “Yes it is not totally set in stone.”

Ms Bowie asked: “Does it mean they are not going back to the UK at all this summer?”

Ms Fiorito responded: “It is going to get to that point where Meghan cannot travel at all so it just depends on the timing of everything.”

According to a royal commentator, the couple’s child will be Queen Elizabeth II’s first great-grandchild to be born abroad.

Prince Harry is currently sixth in line to the throne behind his brother Prince William and his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie is seventh in line.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s second child will be eighth in the Royal Family succession line.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry chose not to have their eldest child, Archie Harrison, styled as an HRH when he was born and the royal couple are expected to follow in the same path with their second-born.
