QPR youth football star Kiyan Prince’s killer ‘could be RELEASED from jail soon – and not deported’

SLAIN footballer Kiyan Prince’s Somalian killer could reportedly soon be freed from jail — but not deported from the country.

Hannad Hasan was sentenced to life with a minimum of 13 years after killing Kiyan with a single stab wound when trying to break up a fight outside of his school in 2006.

Hasan, now 31, is set to have a parole hearing after bids to authorise his deportation to Somalia failed, the Daily Mirror reported.

Kiyan, 15, who played for Queens Park Rangers’ youth team, was killed after intervening in a scrap between a pal and Hasan.

Dad Mark, 52, a former boxing champion, has requested permission to read his victim impact statement at the parole hearing.

He told the Daily Mirror: “I am sure the young man that killed my son has had plenty of challenges because prison has its own culture, laws and rules.

“When he was allowed into our country his mindset was obviously a troubled one because he urinated in front of a teacher, threatened to stab a girl on the bus and eventually stabbed my son in the heart.”

Mark said the public deserved to know the answers to questions such as whether he had demonstrated he had changed or was he still a threat to his peers.

Hasan, who had been jealous of Kiyan’s popularity, plunged a knife into his chest at the London Academy, in Edgware, North London.

Mark said the family successfully applied for Hasan to be deported at the end of his prison sentence but that the decision was recently overturned.

He felt this had happened without any good explanation or reason.

A Parole Board spokesman confirmed Hasan’s case had been referred to them and was in the stages of being processed.
