Prince Philip, 99, is due to spend another night in hospital after he was admitted on Tuesday as a “precautionary measure.”
The Duke travelled from Windsor to King Edward VII’s private hospital in London on the advice of his doctor.
A palace spokesman confirmed: “His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh was admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on Tuesday evening.
“The duke’s admission is a precautionary measure, on the advice of His Royal Highness’s doctor, after feeling unwell.
“The duke is expected to remain in hospital for a few days of observation and rest.”
The decision to admit Philip was understood to have been taken with an “abundance” of caution
