The Reds looked to be out of the title race earlier this season after falling a staggering 14 points behind the Citizens. But they have produced their best football when it matters to blow the title race wide open once again.
Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup and booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals and FA Cup final. So they certainly have the momentum. And Express Sport takes a look at Klopp’s expected XI for the visit of the Red Devils.
Goalkeeper – Alisson
Alisson has been a rock for Liverpool once again this season and has come up with important saves in the big games. So the Brazil international will line-up in between the posts for this one.

Defence – Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson
Klopp rotated his whole defence when Liverpool hosted Benfica in the second-leg of the Champions League quarter-finals last week – and the Reds conceded three goals as a result. The German knows he will have to rest players for some matches between now and the end of the campaign as the matches pile up.
But he will likely opt for his preferred players against the Red Devils. That means Joel Matip could return to partner Virgil van Dijk at the heart of the backline, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson occupying the full-back positions.
Midfield – Thiago, Fabinho, Henderson
Fabinho has provided the Reds defence with the essential cover they need this season. And Klopp’s side always look better when the 28-year-old is available. Fabinho was in stellar form once again when Liverpool knocked Manchester City out of the FA Cup. And he will be crucial for his team if they are to win the Premier League title.

Thiago could be handed his fourth consecutive Premier League start by Klopp, while captain Jordan Henderson is likely to come back into the side after being rested against the Citizens.
Forwards – Salah, Jota, Mane
Liverpool’s attack was in scintillating form against City as the Reds scored three first half goals on their way to victory. Klopp has an embarrassment of riches at his disposal when it comes to his attacking options and could bring Diogo Jota back in to lead the frontline.
Sadio Mane should keep his place in the front three after finding the back of the net twice last time out, while Mohamed Salah is likely to start again, despite his struggles in front of goal in recent weeks.
