Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could have cash to splurge in January as new FSG plan emerges

Liverpool have long been linked with an £80m transfer for Jude Bellingham. Other midfielders could be required to overhaul the area, with most of Klopp’s current options either approaching or over the age of 30.

It comes amid a major shakeup of the Anfield hierarchy. Sporting director Julian Ward will leave his role less than a year after taking over from Michael Edwards. Former Arsenal transfer chief Sven Mislintat has been linked with the job.

Director of research Ian Graham is working his notice after a decade of service.

ESPN report that Klopp is set to be given a more prominent role in transfer talks, having signed a contract extension for a further two years. Transfers have generally been left to Liverpool’s meticulous recruitment team, with Klopp given the final say on deals.
