Larry, 75, famously played the infamous Archie Mitchell in the BBC soap EastEnders. He also played Mick Shipman in the award-winning comedy series Gavin & Stacey. Larry starred alongside Alison Steadman who played his wife on the show, Pam. Pam and Mick were the parents of the titular character Gavin (played by Mathew Horne).
Larry was born in Edmonton, Middlesex and is the eldest of four including his brother Wesley and a sister.
In 2011, Larry participated in the BBC series, Who Do You Think You Are? and discovered that he is descended from a lion tamer, Martini Bartlett, and a well-known travelling menagerie.
As a child, the actor attended Edmonton County School and later joined the oil industry. He later worked in Libya and Canada where he attended a university in Nova Scotia.
Larry has a daughter from his first wife Anita Wisbey and a son, presenter George Lamb, from his second wife, Linda Martin.

The average property price in Tamworth was a reasonable £241,453 over the last year, according to Rightmove.
The majority of sales in Tamworth during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £229,348.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £196,126, with detached properties fetching £364,678.
Overall, sold prices in Tamworth over the last year were similar to the previous year and five percent up on the 2019 peak of £228,972.

Despite the cliffhanger, Larry said fans might be waiting a long time before the sitcom returned. Larry said on Good Morning Britain: “I wouldn’t hold your breath – and certainly not this Christmas!”
Alison previously told Lorraine: “Who knows? I don’t know. I get asked this every day.”
She added: “I’m so proud of it. I loved being in it, I loved it when we did the Christmas special when it came back.
“If there was to be another show I would definitely want to be in it.”
