Chelsea team news: Expected 3-4-2-1 vs Newcastle as Thomas Tuchel makes changes

Midfield – James, Kante, Kovacic, Chilwell

Callum Hudson-Odoi impressed as a right wing-back in Tuchel’s first two games, before Reece James was given an opportunity in their last two fixtures.

Hudson-Odoi played the full 90 against Barnsley, while James played just 45 minutes meaning he is likely to start on the right against Newcastle.

Ben Chilwell could also be given the nod ahead of Marcos Alonso on the left.

N’Golo Kante could partner Mateo Kovacic in midfield after making his first start since January 3rd in the win over Barnsley.
