Chelsea boss Graham Potter can sign his own Eden Hazard after exciting Blues transfer vow

Following his appointment, Potter admitted the role of signing players is not one of his main tasks. He said: “I have always thought I am a head coach.

“My job is to help the football club. I have always taken that approach.

“Kyle [Macaulay] is really important in terms of recruitment. Conversations between ownership and the board can be had via him and as you can imagine those conversations are time consuming, so he’s really important for me.

“Not to say that I don’t try to help the club with decisions around transfers but my main job is to help the guys that are here and help them improve, put a team on the pitch that our supporters are proud of.”
